8 Months of Epic Empties

Hello my beauties!!! 😄😄😄

After 8.5 months since my last empties post I've finally got my bum into gear and decided to do a round up of all the products I've used up during that time 😛 A few of them are holy grails and repurchases whereas as others are newer additions. I've grouped together the products by category (cleanser, toner, serum, moisturiser, sunscreen etc), so let's just dive right in...!

Aqua Sens Cooling Mist Spray (x7): Can you tell that I love this product??? 😂 Great water mist for dampening my face between products (8/10, WRP)

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water (normal version and combination version x1): I love these micellar waters as they are so gentle yet effective at removing eye makeup. However, I do notice that the next day I'm left with some mascara residue under my eyes. Simple product but it does the job! (8/10, WRP)

Simple Micellar Gel Wash: I used this as my morning cleanser and found it to be very gentle and refreshing. It's a new cleanser for me and I was very pleased with it's performance. However I did find that it takes awhile to rinse this product off my skin as you have to really scrub at your face. Overall a nice cleanser for the morning that doesn't strip the skin (8/10, WRP)

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel: This is probably my 4th bottle of this product and has been a staple in my routine for the last few years. That's because it's great at balancing my oil-water levels without stripping my skin. I love how it foams up and gives my skin a deep clean. Will keep repurchasing this for as long as it keeps being discounted! (10/10, Holy Grail)

Naturium The Glow Getter Multi-Oil Body Wash: This isn't strictly skincare but it's a type of cleanser for the body that I've been trying out. It came as part of a giftset alongside a body lotion. I enjoyed this body wash however it doesn't have a scent which I normally prefer. It made my skin feel soft and pampered but it didn't foam up alot in the shower. Wouldn't rush out to buy this again! (6/10, WNRP)

Scinic First Treatment Essence: This is my third bottle and it's because I love it so much! It's a lovely watery, hydrating toner-like essence which I apply in 2 layers. I can't describe what it is about this toner other than the fact that it balances my oily skin and makes it feel plump and bouncy! (10/10, Holy Grail)

Soon Jung pH 5.5 Relief Toner: This is a very simple toner which soothes the skin like no other toner I've tried! It helped me to restore my skin barrier when it was damaged and respected the pH of my skin. I love how this contains panthenol and madecassoside to calm and soothe the skin. I would definitely purchase this again in the bigger size now that I've seen the benefits of this product (8/10, WRP)

The Inkey List PHA Toner: I have been using this toner on and off for the past year. I have always found it to be super effective at keeping my skin clear. I use it 3 times a week and find it to be gentle and non-stripping. When I use this consistently I can usually go between 4-6 weeks without a breakout. Probably one of the most effective exfoliants I've used (9/10, WRP)

Pixi Clarity Mist: I was curious to add a facial mist into my routine as I wanted to add more hydration to my skin. I was noticing that my skin was starting to feel dehydrated and breaking out more than usual. This mist has a hyaluronic acid complex and centella. I did find the misting nozzle abit messy as it would spray big droplets onto my face rather than in a fine layer. However after awhile I started to enjoy the step and how refreshing it felt. Not sure I noticed any other benefits other than plain old hydration though. Now it's getting warmer I don't feel like I need this step in my routine (7/10, MRP)

Haruharu Wonder Black Bamboo Mist: I didn't actually finish this product as I discovered that it was irritating my skin and making it break out. After 2 weeks of using this product I noticed that I was breaking out repeatedly in the usual places. Originally I thought it was because of adding in my PHA Toner again which I've never reacted to before. Then I thought it might be that I wasn't diluting my azelaic acid serum anymore, although normally my skin responds really well to it. I finally deduced that the problem must be the mist as it was the newest product that I'd introduced into my routine. And when I stopped using it my skin magically cleared up! I won't be buying this again, that's for sure! (1/10, WNRP)

Purito Centella Unscented Serum: This has been a constant in my routine for the last 4 years so there's not much I can say that hasn't already been said 😂 However I recently found out that it's been reformulated and rebranded 😞 It looks completely different to the original product I know and love. I've got 2 more back ups but after they run out I'll probably have to suck it up and buy the rebranded version haha (10/10, Holy Grail)

iUnik Propolis Synergy Serum (x2): Same thing goes for this product that's been in my routine for the last 3 years or so. It's a super effective serum that helps with oil levels and wound healing. I am considering replacing it with another vitamin C serum but it's such good value for money that I'll probably just repurchase this afterwards (10/10, Holy Grail)

Beauty of Joseon Calming Serum (Green tea & Panthenol): I normally use this serum on exfoliation nights or when my skin needs some soothing. I love the gel consistency and how well it absorbs into the skin. However I've decided to replace it with the Aveeno Calm & Restore Triple Oat Serum which is cheaper and equally calming/soothing (8/10, MRP)

Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream (x2): I'm abit on the fence with this moisturiser. It has an almost whipped consistency that's medium weight. I found it to be very moisturising but with a slightly tacky feel after applying. I haven't repurchased this since the second jar and I'm not sure if I'll use it again, especially with the recent warmer weather (7/10, WRP)

Soon Jung Hydro Barrier Cream (75ml & 130ml): I originally asked my best friend to buy this for my birthday as I'd used and loved the travel mini size. It's a lightweight lotion that spreads well and is super moisturising. I loved it so much that I bought the bigger size (or mummy size as I like to say!). I used to use this as my morning moisturiser but I find it abit too heavy so I've swapped it to my evening routine instead (8/10, WRP)

Pyunkang Yul Ato Moisturising Soothing Gel Lotion: This is a moisturiser with a lightweight gel consistency. I was originally using it as my post-exfoliation moisturiser due to its soothing properties. However I decided to swap it with my Hydro Barrier Cream as it's too light for the evening. It absorbs quickly into the skin and leaves it feeling soft and smooth (7/10, MRP)

Missha Aqua Sun Gel SPF50 PA++++ (x2): This has been my staple sunscreen for the last couple of years. I think I've gone through at least 6 of these tubes. It's a lovely lotion consistency that blends into the skin with zero white cast. It's also very moisturising and can be used in the place of a moisturiser (10/10, Holy Grail)

Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Bakuchiol Eye Cream: I love the lightweight lotion consistency of this eye cream. It's so moisturising and leaves my undereye area feeling soothed and refreshed. I feel like it makes my eyes look less puffy and my skin look plumper. I've already repurchased this product despite using a different eye cream for the last 5 months (8/10, WRP)

Eucerin Acute Lip Balm: What more can I say?? Great lip balm that never fails to moisturise my dry, cracked lips in the evening (10/10, Holy Grail)

Hope you enjoyed my in-depth reviews of the products I've emptied over the last 8.5 months 😊 This has got to be the biggest empties post I've ever done! Mainly because I've been meaning to write this post since February haha. However I didn't feel like I had enough products to talk about compared to last time. It also helped that I finished alot of products around the same time, meaning even more empties! I'll try not to leave it so long next time and try and regularly review any new products so that I can confidently say whether I'd repurchase them or not.
