Product Review #4
Hello my beauties!!! 😊😊😊
Welcome back to another installment of my Product Review series! I can't believe it's been over a year since I last did a post like this 😯 Here are 4 products that I've been trying out over the last 5 months and my honest reviews on each of them. I've put them in the order that I started using them from, so let's get started...
Farmstay Black Snail Premium Rolling Eye Serum
Used for: 5 months
Reasons for purchase: I bought this eye serum on holiday in Spain as I'd never tried it before and have enjoyed snail in the past. I also thought the roller ball application would be relaxing and easy to apply under my eyes.
My thoughts: This is a a perfectly fine eye serum which has a gel-like consistency. There's a hint of fragrance but it doesn't seem to irritate my undereye area at all. I'm not sure about the roller balls as I don't think it adds alot to the overall experience of applying the product. It does make it less messy and you can squeeze the perfect amount out of the tube and massage it under your eye. Not the worst eye cream I've tried but definitely not the best either!

Tia'm Snail & Azulene Low pH Cleanser
Used for: 3 months
Reasons for purchase: To be completely honest I bought this on pure impulse haha. There was a sale on Stylevana and I saw this cleanser for about £6-£7 and thought I'd give it a go! I'd heard good things about the brand from Youtube (Kelly Driscoll and Tina Tanaka-Harris) and thought I'd see what all the fuss was about!
My thoughts: This is has a jelly-like consistency which lathers into a micro-foam. It's very gentle and non-stripping which is what I look for in a morning cleanser. It does the job whilst respecting my skin barrier and leaving my skin feeling clean and refreshed 😊 It also comes in a 200ml tube which is very big for a Korean cleanser. No complaints!
Rating: 8/10
I'm From Rice Toner
Used for: 2.5 months
Reasons for purchase: I'd heard good things about this toner and was only able to afford it due to it being heavily discounted on Stylevana. I also liked that it was a milky toner and was meant to be very moisturising. Again, this was a impulse spend that I was curious to try out for myself.
My thoughts: On initial application this is a watery toner but once you've spread it over your skin it has a creamy, slightly occlusive, feel to it. It feels like it's really sealing in all the hydration after the cleansing step. It's difficult to explain but it basically feels like a light blanket of moisture is covering your skin and giving it a big hug! 😍

Haruharu Wonder Black Bamboo Mist
Used for: 6 weeks
Reasons for purchase: I've been getting more into face mists recently and was curious to try this one from the Haruharu Wonder line as I love their Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner and Black Rice Bakuchiol Eye Cream. I've also been trying to add an extra layer of hydration to my skincare routine, as it's winter and the humidity is lower.
My thoughts: At first I was disappointed that it had added fragrance, plus the mist is so fine that it feels like you're not getting alot of product transfer. Then I just enjoyed it as an extra hydrating step in my routine which is what I wanted it for. However, a few weeks into using this product I noticed I was breaking out more; as soon as one pimple disappeared another one would pop up to replace it. I had 5 breakouts in the space of 2 weeks 😒 At first I was confused as I hadn't added any new actives into my routine for months and there weren't any in the mist either. I also noticed that the breakouts were in places that I normally get them, whereas with a skin reaction you get them in more random areas. So I stopped using the mist about a week ago and I haven't had anymore breakouts since. Coincidence or just plain luck?? 😏
Rating: 2/10
So that's a summary of 4 products I've been using and how my skin has been finding them so far. I'm loving the Rice Toner and Low pH Cleanser as they are fragrance free and super gentle. However the Black Snail Eye Serum, although I enjoy the extra step, isn't my favourite eye treatment so I probably wouldn't repurchase it. I'm also abit gutted that my skin reacted so badly to the Black Bamboo Mist as I was looking forward to finally using it. I'm still very confused as to why I had so many breakouts in the usual places that I get them as there's no active ingredients in the formula based off of the ingredients list on Stylevana. I just wish that brands would stop adding uneccessary fragrance to their products, as it literally has zero benefits for the skin.
I hope you enjoyed my brutally honest reviews of these products and I promise to get better at doing them as I have a few more new products in my skincare stash to share with you guys 😃
