Witch Hazel Wonder Products!

In this post I will be discussing the Witch range, which is one of the brands that I use for my oily, spot-prone skin on a daily basis...

I've been loving Witch's anti blemish range for about 2 years now. The products are enriched with Witch Hazel extract, known for its cleansing, toning and soothing properties. The brand is formulated specially for spot-prone and sensitive skin, making it ideal for my skin type :) Although I love this brand I have only used a few of the products in the range and currently use 2 of them in my daily skincare routine. I will be weighing up the pros and cons of the 2 products before coming to an overall conclusion.

So here it goes!

Witch Blemish Stick (*£2.69)

What it does: Breaks down excess oils and is a natural antibacterial to prevent spots from forming. Suitable for oily to combination skin.

Pros:
  • Clears spots within 3-7 days
  • Reduces redness/appearance of marks
  • Easy to apply
Cons:
  • None
Overall verdict: I love this product so much as since I've been using it I get fewer breakouts and when I do they clear up fast. One blemish stick can last up to 4 weeks as I only use it twice a day and never have more than a couple of spots at a time so don't need very much. I also apply it to marks left from previous breakouts and I really feel like they have faded over time due to using this product. This is the only spot stick I will use as it's been the most effective one I've used so far. It's also at an affordable price and lasts a long time.
Rating: 9/10

Witch Overnight Clearing Serum (*£6.05)

What it does: This product is made to reduce the appearance of spots as well as prevent future breakouts. It hydrates and can be worn alone or under a moisturiser.

Pros:

  • Light formula
  • Visibly reduces the appearance of spots
  • Fewer breakouts
Cons:
  • Isn't very fast absorbing
  • Expensive
Overall verdict: I started using this serum when my old one (Superdrug Deep Action Overnight Serum) went out of stock. So instead I bought this as a substitute, however it was about double the price so I wasn't sure if it was gonna be worth it. However at the time it was £3.99 so I thought why not?! My expectations were completely surpassed as within a week my skin already looked clearer and friends and family commented on how good my skin looked, so it obviously made a huge difference. Since then I have continued to repurchase it and find that it can last up to 8- 10 weeks. Even though it's pricier than I'd like, the results are so good that I wouldn't want to use any other serum.
Rating: 8/10

In conclusion, I would highly recommend Witch as an anti-blemish solution, even if it is abit on the pricey side, as your skin is definitely worth investing in. And if you find a product that works then I believe that you should stick with it. Since using the overnight serum I've noticed a huge difference in the appearance of my spots, as well as having fewer breakouts. As a result I find that my Witch products can last between 4-10 weeks, as I've found that a little goes a long way! I love these products and will continue to use them as part of my daily skincare regime as they never let me down. As I've mentioned in previous posts, sometimes paying that little bit more for a skincare product can either be a waste of time or the best investment you've ever made! :) However don't be fooled by fancy packaging and try out more expensive brands when they're on offer. That way you can see if they live up to the hype or whether you'd be better off looking elsewhere- without wasting money!

*Both products mentioned are based on their current retail prices.
